GENERAL INFORMATION
Air-conditioned mini vans are another type of public transportation that provides point-to-point services. They don’t have certain schedule and they operate the routes that are most frequently used. Each minivan can accommodate up to 8 passengers and will take the passengers to various popular destinations in and around Bangkok.
Since the passengers distribute the cost of the journey, this is also a relatively cheap public transport in the city. At Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang Airport, Victory Monument, Mo Chit Bus Station and Ekkamai Bus Terminal are the most common areas to find these mini vans.
Due to the limited railway system in Bangkok, taking a taxi is another popular way to get from one point to another. For people who need a kind of adrenaline, there are also tuk-tuk rides and motorbikes available for rent.
PRICES
Taxi
The taxi fare should be 35 baht. If you are a group of three or four, taxis may be much cheaper than BTS.
Connection with the airport: A trip from the airport to the center of Bangkok or the other way round usually costs up to 400 baht.
Tuk Tuk
A Tuk Tuk does not have a meter integrated which differs it from a Taxi. You agree on a price beforehand and only pay at the end of the ride. In addition to that it is mostly more expensive than the same distance by taxi.
